Mouthwatering Seafood at traditional market

Uma Sari traditional market is located in Jl Nakula, around 800 meter from Jl Raya Legian/Seminyak. The market is ‘relatively’ clean and packed with foreign tourists during night time.

On the left hand side there is a small seafood grill stall called Warung Arim. Everything is spicy, everything is delicious! The seasoning seeps on the grilled fish/shrimp/big clam/squid.
Complete package is available with white rice, peanuts, yummy baliness sauce ‘sambal matah’, and extra spicy kangkung plecing (Lombok way to serve water spinach).
Rp 25-40k per person.
Whole young coconut to wash the burned out feels in your tongue.

If you are not into seafood, there are also meatball ‘bakso’ stall, ‘ayam betutu’ chicken stall, soto ceker stall, padang food stall with sate padang.

For stomach full culinary journey, you can also buy corn (jagung bakar) for appetizer. And drop by in fruit stall for dessert.

“Pasar yang satu ini agak beda dari pasar lain di Indonesia. Tidak becek, tidak bau sampah+tidak kotor (walaupun tidak bisa dibilang bersih juga), pasar gaul karena buka sampai malam dan banyak bule-nya.”

“Dedicated to Lorenzo Pilati ‘un piatto squisito (delicious meal), buon appetito!’ “

hanging wooden bridge & sunset in Warung Agung

To get into this unique simple place, you have to put some efforts. Like the saying, no pain no gain.

From Batu Belig beach (Grand Bali Sani Hotel) walk (on foot) to your right side on the beach. In about 500 meters you will find a hanging wooden bridge ‘jembatan goyang’ over a tiny river. A small version of fear factor.

Or actually you can go by car/motorcycle from batu belig road turn right on small street on the way to Canggu till you find the small sign of this warung on bellow address. But hey, no fun doing the ordinary way.
Warung Agung Kayu Putih
Phone 03617472300 Jl pura kayu putih, batu belig.

Enjoy a sunny afternoon here till sundown. A different feel of Bali, a less crowded feel.

Long list of sandwiches, very nice coffee (especially machiato and they have coffee with soya milk), mouthwatering blueberry cheese cake.
