Mouthwatering Seafood at traditional market

Uma Sari traditional market is located in Jl Nakula, around 800 meter from Jl Raya Legian/Seminyak. The market is ‘relatively’ clean and packed with foreign tourists during night time.

On the left hand side there is a small seafood grill stall called Warung Arim. Everything is spicy, everything is delicious! The seasoning seeps on the grilled fish/shrimp/big clam/squid.
Complete package is available with white rice, peanuts, yummy baliness sauce ‘sambal matah’, and extra spicy kangkung plecing (Lombok way to serve water spinach).
Rp 25-40k per person.
Whole young coconut to wash the burned out feels in your tongue.

If you are not into seafood, there are also meatball ‘bakso’ stall, ‘ayam betutu’ chicken stall, soto ceker stall, padang food stall with sate padang.

For stomach full culinary journey, you can also buy corn (jagung bakar) for appetizer. And drop by in fruit stall for dessert.

“Pasar yang satu ini agak beda dari pasar lain di Indonesia. Tidak becek, tidak bau sampah+tidak kotor (walaupun tidak bisa dibilang bersih juga), pasar gaul karena buka sampai malam dan banyak bule-nya.”

“Dedicated to Lorenzo Pilati ‘un piatto squisito (delicious meal), buon appetito!’ “

Roti(bread) Taiwan Rp 3.000 only

Don’t expect some weird bread from Taiwan. The bakery owned by Taiwanese, that’s why it named Roti Taiwan. Not because the bread is specially made from Taiwan.

Its just a regular bread, chocolate, cheese, banana+cheese, blueberry, pandan and many more depends on availability because its very high demands.
Good value of money.

Try their Golden Croissant, smaller than regular croissant, but it is very crispy, a little but right portion of sweet taste, and it is like melting in your mouth.

You will find this small store on your left hand side on the way to uluwatu/GWK from Kuta/airport, 500meters from three section of gas station.

Newly open further down close to Mc D by pass Jimbaran Jl Uluwatu

Steamed and light-fried chicken, specific dish from padang, west sumatra. Skinless, very soft and usually white colored but in this restaurant a little bit darker color. Better than KFC, guaranteed!
You have to see the waiter bring up to 20plates in one bare hand.

Rumah makan padang ACC Minang

Opposite of Gatotkaca Seraya statue (patung kuda) very close to airport.

Warnanya agak coklat tidak putih pucat seperti biasanya dan rasanya beda dengan ayam popnya sederhana/natrabu

gurame bumbu cobek in floating gubug Mang Engking

A romantic place, especially during the night. Eating in floating ‘gubug’ hut over a big fish pond with nice bamboo ambiance and sounds of water drops.

As a branch of original place in Yogyakarta and Depok.
Even though I’m a big fan of shrimp and they are famous for their shrimps, but I would not recommend shrimp.
But you have to try Gurame Bumbu Cobek (spicy carp fish on mortar). Or other sundanesse meal like sayur asem, karedok, ikan asin jambal, kelapa muda jeruk etc
